About Trinity Briefs™
Trinity Briefs™ was founded in October 2003. Our purpose is to assist high school debate teams seeking a more thoughtful, reflective, and philosophical approach to Lincoln-Douglas (LD) debate. Through our philosophical topic briefs, we hope to redeem LD from the overly fast-paced, jargon-heavy style of debate it has become.
About Trinity Briefs™ Founder & Owner — Mahesha Subbaraman
As a liberal arts college student, Mahesha Subbaraman founded Trinity Briefs™ out of apprehension for the future of Lincoln-Douglas debate. A former Minnesota Varsity LD debater, he competed successfully on the local and state levels. For more information on Mahesha’s reasons for founding Trinity Briefs™, please read his Preface to the Trinity Briefs™ September/October 2003 Topic Brief.
